Prop 19 Legalize it Tax it

Never understanding why alcohol was legal and marijuana wasn't, I'm hopeful that Proposition 19 will pass tomorrow. Measure B here in the LBC will tax it in line with other intoxicants. Again, hopeful, though steeled for my usual election-day letdown. And if there are any tea party folks that don't vote this in, they are indeed hypocrites. This measure will take the guns and criminal element out of this MULTI-MILLON DOLLAR trade, and the most recent study expects the street value of cultivated weed to drop 80%! Wake up America -- if weed isn't legalized, we should return to prohibition. The only difference between marijuana and alcohol in my experience is that no one gets violent when smoking pot.

L.A. Moto FilmFest Oct 23rd 2010 - Cretins' Clubhouse

Come see my 2004 motorcycle/revenge-doesn't-pay saga The Lone Wolfs at the upcoming L.A. Moto Film Fest. My pal Scott insisted that I submit it, so who am I to argue? Shan has always wanted me to post TLF on you tube, so I may do that before the screening.

.....part 3

and what a car weekend... (part 2 -- car show pics)

^this T-bird was the most bad-ass mofo at the show...snakeskin top, quilted leather interior, and on and on. This was the only guy I gave props to all day. Fuckin' awesome car.

and what a car weekend it was

bought a 1972 Suburban 350/TH350 C10 Custom, and drove the Lincoln to the Belmont Shore Car Show for a nice day with my daughter. The Lincoln sure handled heavy traffic and hills like a champ! What a car (don't wanna, but have to sell it -- got a $3000 offer, but holding out for a few more weeks).

um, yeah....I bought another car tonite! Possibly will be in my possesion this weekend to install heater core and 3rd row seat (fingers crossed). And thus the sumer of love draws to a close. Since Sparkle-Jet (working title for baby #3) will make the Subaru De-Forester officially too small, we've up-sized our carbon footprint and gone blue! Here's a scary thought; after we sell the 2006 Forester XT, my Subaru Legacy will be the newest car we own!

everything runs

the planets have aligned or something; for the first time in years, every machine I own works. To some degree anyway.
The 1976 Malibu Classic: running, registered, legal. Restoration is next.
The 1991 Subaru Legacy: run, reg, legal.
The 1969 C20 Longbed Stepside: run, reg, at the shop for finetuning + brakework.
The 1958 Lincoln Capri: runs, in the driveway atm; should I get out quick for a fast buck or buy another one to use as a donor car and hope for "big money?"
The 1975 BMW R75/6: run, reg, leeg.
The 1975 Honda 550k1: reg, reg, leeg, needs suspension asap, though ridable enough.
The 1980 XR250; runs like a motherfucker, whats a green sticker btw?
The 2006 Subaru Forester XT: r,r,l, kinda FOR SALE! Turbo, Leather, great condition...gotta turn that car into something larger before our 3 child arrives; I'm leaning toward a Vanaru conversion with a Subaru EJ22 engine.

All for now.
